Technical Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the research and development of new products as determined by the company’s product development plan. Continually researches for new methods or components to enhance or improve existing products.
  • Coordinates and is responsible for activities of all engineering personal and outside consultants and/or contractors; develops engineering action plans to guide timely and cost effective development of projects; maintains the system of budget and schedule control.
  • Supervises engineering services for preparation and drafting of drawings, schematics, product specifications, bill of materials, operation/ service manuals, assembly manuals, and other documentation necessary to manufacture new products.
  • Provides Customer service and Sales & Marketing departments with orientation and training on new products, and assists with preparation of sales presentations, service/repair methods, and marketing literature.
  • Provide technical services and collaborate with other sections for sales, project work, and production of the company
  • Keep track of any bidding news
  • Prepare and submit bid, budgeting and contract preparation
  • Collaborate with relevant specialists in contract/deal negotiation and management
  • Arrange and prepare contract proposals and monitor contract implementation
  • Assist in market studies with other departments
  • Manage projects, make project report for the company and issue certificate of project completion following company’s standard.
  • Keep track of competitors’ performance on technical and service matters
  • Arrange to take part in trade fare of materials, services, and take part in creating any events for customers. Attend field study tours and visits with customers
  • Take part in studies, researches, and other technical development
  • Manage and lead the engineering works, technicians and engineers to provide maintenance services, to repair and improve project facilities.
  • Be responsible for research work and development of new materials and facilities
  • Participate in recruiting and instructing new engineers and technicians.
  • Analyze market demand against the company’s existing resources and participate in providing each annual data in the work plan of Sales Office based on this research and analysis.
  • Figure out the satisfactory level of the customers and seek ways for improvement
  • Keep track of schedule of maintenance and repair service on daily basis
  • Assure that the after-sales staff are well-trained with proper attitude
  • Make reports including the after-sales service revenue, photos, time of work completion, remaining material, and customers’ feedback for each project
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree major in engineering is required, Master degree in relevant field will be preferred.
  • At least five years’ experience in the engineering field and at least 2 years in managerial positions.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Good command in English
  • Proficient in Autocad applications
  • Knowledge on MV, LV and Automation equipment’s
  • Aware of technical standards In Cambodia
  • Able to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal
